VERSE OF THE DAY: ETERNAL LIFE MADE POSSIBLE

The bible verse for Meditation and memorization today is John 11:25

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" (KJV)

Thoughts on today's verse

It is a good reminder  that we have Jesus, so we have eternal life. This does not go well with a majority of people, but it is the marvelous truth we cherish as God's redeemed children. Paradise was lost in Adam but regained in Jesus. Because of Jesus, we can celebrate this knowledge that death no longer has the final say over us. 1John 5:11-12 makes this clearer "this is the record, God has given us eternal life. This life is in his son, anyone who has the son has life but anyone who have not the son, have not life. Even though Jesus loved Mary, Martha and their brother Lazarus so much, he had to delay his visit for this truth to be made glaring clear to you and I. Lazarus rose from death after he has rotten in the grave for four days. Jesus' power can't be made more evident. He is indeed the resurrection and the life. And at that time, death will finally be swallowed up in victory and the saints will ask 'O death where is thy sting; O hades, where is thy victory?

Prayer: Thank you Jesus for setting us free from every effect of the fall. May the world come and experience first hand what it means to be powerful when they turn to you. Amen!
