VERSE OF THE DAY: The most misinterpreted Verse (Watch Video)

Today's Bible verse for Meditation and memorization is Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (NKJV)

Thoughts on the verse

Sometimes in life we come to a crossroad. We find ourselves at our lowest point; that place where we never dreamed we could ever be. We could be deserted by all that we loved and held dear. We could be laid off a job at the peak of our careers. May be you've had to watch everything you ever worked for in life go down the drain. Many parents are living in grief over the death of their young child. A dear spouse suffering from a terminal disease can be so devastating. The list is endless.

This verse of the bible tells us that no matter what the situation is or could be, we can pull through it if we trust in Christ and his power. If we're dependent on him for daily strength, there is nothing that we cannot face. I love the way John 15:4 puts it:

"Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself; except it abide in the vine; no more can you except you abide in me"

What God cannot do does not exist.  But, for us to experience this ability, we must remain glued to him. As a branch is attached to the tree for sustenance and support, one who is not yet attached to Jesus can never experience this victory. Have you found him yet? Today is another opportunity for you to do so. He can make lemonades out of your soured lemons. Just give them to him in implicit trust.

Mark Leeming  in this 4 minutes video explains  what this verse "is" and what "it's not".
