VERSE OF THE DAY FOR AUGUST 11, 2020

 

Today's verse for meditation and memorization is Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts to which also you were called in one body and be thankful. (NKJV)

 let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. (MSG)

  "and let the peace from Christ rule in your hearts for as members of one body, you are called to live in peace and always be thankful." (NLT)

Thoughts on today's Verse

Jesus has called us to peace. He says in John 14:27; my peace  I leave with you, my peace I give you my peace not as the world gives do I give you... Again in Psalms, 133:1, behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Jesus wants us to coexist as brothers in peace. He's called us to oneness and for one purpose to help build his kingdom on earth. When we are united as one heaven stands with us and nothing shall be impossible. Let this mind be in us as believers wherever we are found, in our families, homes, communities, fellowships and churches. We can only achieve Christ mandate when we are united in purpose as one. 

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, you've called us to live in peace with one another for this is the hallmark of your servants. Grant that as we worship you in unity, all the world will come and see how the mercy and grace we received from you can set them free from sin, Amen!
