Awaken the Dawn on Isaiah 54
This morning the lord is bringing us glad tidings. His wonderful promises are reaching our ears again. In Isaiah 54:4, he says,
Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed: neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame. You will forget the shame of your youth and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
Then in verses 5-8 he says
For your maker is your husband. The lord of hosts is his name. And your Redeemer is the Holy one of Israel. He is called the God of the whole earth. For the lord has called you like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit. Like a youthful wife when you were refused. Says your God. For a mere moment I have forsaken you but with great mercies I will gather you. With a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you says the lord your redeemer .
Yes, beloved! This is God's message for you today. The one who knows you inside out says, he is not only your maker he is also your husband. He says you should not fear for he can never allow you to be disgraced. Even if earthly husband has deserted you, the lord God says he will marry you. He will give you everything you've ever been denied. Everything you ever need will be made available by his mighty power. His outstretched arm is ready to fight for you. What is that peculiar situation of your life?. God has not forgotten you and he never will. Remember his dealings of old in your life and find strength today. He never left you in the past, neither will he leave you now. He says "even to old age I am he, I will carry you". Just draw close to him daily. Keep step with him. Do not give in to the temptations of the enemy. When the enemies entice you with their dainties, do not consent. Do not give in to that pressure to go against the will of God. His grace is sufficient for you. Keep faith. He will come through for you. He always does!
