VERSE OF THE DAY FOR AUGUST 12, 2020

Today's Verse for Meditation and memorization is Mathew 6:34

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own troubles. (NKJV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse

Man's needs is insatiable. We desire food, housing, clothing and all other sorts of pleasures. As children of God, He wants us to depend on him for our daily supplies and to look up to him in times of trouble. In the verse 33, he asks us to seek first his kingdom and every other thing shall be added unto us. Many of us fret and fume over little things. Sadly, anxiety has resulted in several life threatening diseases. Worry, shows a lack of faith. If we trust the God and  his word wholeheartedly, we'll be rest assured that he will make good his promises.

PRAYER: faithful God, you have always proved faithful in my life. Help me to always remember your dealings in times past whenever a new challenge comes up so that I will not give in to worry. Keep my heart settled in your ability to provide. Amen!
