Living for Eternity with Gbile Akanni: No Choice; No change

We begin today, by looking at the this text from 1John 2:15-17(KJV)

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world. And the world passes away and the lusts thereof; but he that does the will of God abides for ever

This scripture shows that nothing in this world is permanent. The world is passing away with all the hustle and bustle and lusts in it. The governments, fashions, education, strategies, technologies, businesses...all will eventually fade away. Real life begins the moment we step into eternity. It is better to enter into life maimed. Living in this world is but a step into real life. Our present existence is only to make us prepare for our placement in eternity where there will be no change.

One thousand years we may exist in this world is but a preparation to enter eternity, where time and years do not matter. Eternity is infinity, no one grows old. We are given a chance to exist in this world so as to deliberately make a choice of what we are going to be and where we are going to be placed in eternity.

Once a man steps into eternity he remains in an unchangeable state. Whatever he did not finish here on earth cannot be finished again. Unfortunately once he steps into eternity he cannot change his mind, location or choice.

Eternity is the final everlasting state into which everyone is going to enter. The truth is that you are already making a choice about that even right now. You hold the pen in your hand and you're busy everyday, though unconsciously, writing the script of your eternity.

 

God in his mercy does not want you to wake up in eternity full of regrets. That is why he is bringing you this message now in real time.
